EMPLOYEE REFERRAL REWARD PROGRAM

Purpose

The Employee Referral Reward Program is designed to engage our existing talent in identifying future talent, thereby supporting Macadamia Farm Management’s (MFM) operational sustainability and viability. We reward employees for contributing to the growth and success of MFM by referring candidates who become valuable members of our team.

Farm Manager – Bundaberg Region

We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager.

The right person will have previous experience overseeing all aspects of Farming Operations, specifically;

Support the Operations Manager with the overall coordination and execution of farming operations from Field work, Irrigation, Tractor Operations and Harvesting.
Continually monitor and improve effeciency of operational tasks.
Coach, mentor and positively lead small to medium sized teams.
Work with the support team of agronomist, work health and safety, human resources and finance.

Program Guidelines

MFM employees who refer candidates for current or future positions may be eligible for a financial reward. The guidelines for participation are as follows:

  1. Eligibility for Participation:
    • Employees must contact Human Resources before the candidate applies directly to MFM.
  2. Types of Referrals:
    • Referrals can be made for specific vacancies or for future advertised opportunities. To be eligible for the financial reward, the referred candidate must be hired within 12 months of the referral.
  3. Employment Guarantee:
    • There is no guarantee of employment for referred candidates. The recruitment process will follow MFM’s Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
  4. Probation Period:
    • The referred candidate must successfully complete a 6-month probation period for the referring employee to qualify for the financial reward.
  5. Monitoring and Payment:
    • Human Resources will monitor the candidate’s probation period. If successfully completed, HR will authorise and process the reward payment.
  6. Reward Issuance:
    • The reward payment will be processed through payroll in the next payroll period following the completion of the 6-month probation.
  7. Tax Deductions:
    • The reward payment is subject to applicable tax deductions.
  8. Multiple Referrals:
    • If multiple employees refer the same candidate, the reward will be given to the first employee who made the referral.
  9. Program Changes:
    • MFM reserves the right to discontinue or change the terms and conditions of the Referral Program at any time at its sole discretion.

Exclusions

The referral incentive will not be paid in the following situations:

  1. Referrals of short-term employees (e.g., traveling workers).
  2. Referrals made by Human Resources, Directors, General Managers, and Operations Managers.

Referral Reward Amounts

  • Farm Hand Referral: $250.00
  • All Other Role Referrals: $500.00
  • Bonus for Hard-to-Fill Roles: $250.00 (as determined at the time of referral)
